About Youssef Saidi
Youssef SAIDI, a seasoned Quantitative Economist-Econometrician, currently serves as an Economic Adviser at the Gulf Monetary Council (GMCo). Prior to his role at GMCo, he worked as an Invited Researcher at LEM-CNRS (UMR 9221) - Lille 3 and as an Economist-Manager at Bank Al-Maghrib (the Central Bank of Morocco). Before that, he was an Assistant Professor of statistics and econometrics at Mohammed V University in Rabat (Morocco), where he taught mathematics, statistics, econometrics, and Computer Science (SAS, Eviews, Rats) at various institutions, including Lille1, Lille 2, Lille 3, and Valenciennes (France). Youssef SAIDI has conducted numerous seminars in forecasting techniques throughout Morocco and Africa, and his research focuses on a range of topics, including monetary and exchange rate policy, time series analysis, regime change models, forecasting techniques, financial markets, commodities, emerging economies, and financial contagion. He also serves as a referee for several international academic journals.
